What are the differences between Nano, Combo, Powder, and Ombre brows. Nano Brows is the tattoo that creates natural hair like strokes through the whole brow. Combo brows are when 1/3 to 1/2 of the brow is hair like strokes and the back part of the brow is shaded. which gives a more defined filled in that looks more like makeup. A fully shaded brow is called a powder brow. Ombre brows is a a fully shaded brow that fades from lighter at the front of the brow slowly getting darker to the end of the brow.
Each style of brow is customized or should be customized to your face and eye shape. Usually the questions I ask is:
- Do you regularly fill in your brows with makeup?
- Do you want a more natural appearance?
- Do you want a more filled in makeup look?
- Have you ever had microblading or Pmu tattoo done to your brows before and did you like it and what did you want different?
Nano brows are the most natural type of PMU brows. If done right Nano brows can give you thin hair like strokes that are blended into your natural brow hair pattern. In my opinion combo brows is the next to look natural because you can get some of the natural hair strokes and, then it looks a bit more defined in end part of your brow. Ombre and powder depending on how dark can look natural, but they will look a bit more like you put makeup brow powder on them.
If you have Oily or combination skin your hair like strokes can eventually blur and so it almost looks like you got powder brows to begin with so alot of artists will just recommend powder brows. I personally think it's worth getting the nano brows so they can look hair like and see how long it lasts and if you like it. You can always do shading the next time and create powder brows, but it is totally up to you. If you know how they heal in general you can make the best choice for you.
